The new frequency, commencing 25 October 2026, will bring Air Arabia’s services between Sharjah and Bangkok to 28 non-stop flights per week, offering customers greater choice and flexibility.

The enhanced Bangkok service complements Air Arabia’s existing 21 non-stop weekly flights between Sharjah and Phuket, further strengthening the airline’s connectivity to two of Thailand’s key destinations.

For the six months ended 30 June 2026, Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 374 million, 51 percent lower than the corresponding period in 2025, while revenues declined 1 percent to AED 3.48 billion, compared with AED 3.52 billion last year.

During the period, more than 8.7 million passengers travelled across the Group’s operating hubs, a 14 percent decline compared with the first half of 2025, reflecting reduced operating capacity resulting from the ongoing regional conflict. Despite these challenges, the airline maintained a strong average seat load factor —passengers carried as a percentage of available seats— of 83 percent, demonstrating continued resilience in demand across its network.

For the second quarter ended 30 June 2026, Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 96 million, 77 percent lower than the net profit registered in the second quarter last year, while revenues declined 3 percent to AED 1.68 billion.

During the quarter, the airline carried more than 3.9 million passengers across its operating hubs, a 23 percent decline year-on-year reflecting the reduced operating capacity, while maintaining a strong average seat load factor of 81 percent.

The first-half performance was largely impacted by the regional conflict, which began in February and affected operations throughout the remainder of the period, resulting in airspace closures, temporary operational restrictions, reduced operating capacity, and record-high fuel prices.

Commenting on the results, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, said: "Air Arabia’s ability to remain profitable during the first half of the year, amid the geopolitical conflict that disrupted the aviation industry throughout the period, reflects the resilience of our business model, the strength of our financial position, and the agility of our management team."

He added: "The conflict significantly impacted the industry through multiple airspace closures, reduced operating capacity, and rising operating costs driven by record-high fuel prices. Throughout this period, we remained focused on maintaining network connectivity, adapting our operations to rapidly evolving circumstances, and exercising disciplined cost management while preserving operational efficiency."

During the first half of the year, Air Arabia added 6 aircraft to its modern fleet, bringing it to a total of 96 owned and leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The carrier has expanded its network by launching five new routes across its operating hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan. In June, Air Arabia has been named “Most Sustainable Low-Cost Airline in the MENA Region 2026” by World Finance Magazine as part of its prestigious annual Sustainability Awards Program.

Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 278 million for the first quarter ending March 31, 2026, representing a 22 percent decline compared to AED 355 million recorded in the same period last year. This drop was driven by the impact of the ongoing conflict in the region, which resulted in a sharp reduction in capacity due to airspace closures and temporary operational restrictions.

The airline recorded a turnover of AED 1.8 billion during the first quarter of 2026, marking a 1 percent increase compared to the corresponding quarter in 2025. During the same period, Air Arabia carried 4.7 million passengers across its operating hubs, a 5 percent decrease compared to the same quarter last year, while the average seat load factor—passengers carried as a percentage of available seats—rose to 86 percent, up 2 percentage points year-on-year. This growth in revenue and seat load factor reflects strong demand for Air Arabia’s services during the first quarter, despite the operational impact and reduced flight capacity in March.

First Quarter 2026 Performance:

Commenting on the results, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, said: “Despite a challenging first quarter of the year, marked by airspace restrictions and operational disruptions as a result of the conflict in the region, Air Arabia demonstrated strong resilience and agility in responding to rapidly evolving conditions. Our ability to optimize capacity and maintain operational continuity enabled us to effectively manage the impact during this ongoing critical period.”

He added: “Despite these challenges, we are pleased to have delivered a solid first-quarter performance, supported by continued strong passenger demand across our network wherever we operated. This reflects the strength of our multi-hub business model, our disciplined cost management, and our ongoing focus on operational efficiency and service excellence.”

During the first quarter of 2026, Air Arabia operated a fleet of 90 owned and leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan. Additional aircraft are scheduled for delivery throughout the year as part of the airline’s existing Airbus order book.

In February, Air Arabia was also recognized among Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 Most Valuable Companies 2026, underscoring its continued financial strength and operational performance.

In line with its commitment to advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, the airline obtained a Limited Assurance Statement on its 2025 ESG Report, conducted in accordance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3000. The Board of Directors’ recommendation follows the airline’s robust results for the year ending December 31, 2025, during which the airline reported record net profit before tax of AED 1.8 billion, marking a 14 percent increase compared to 2024.

During the AGM, the report of Air Arabia’s auditors, balance sheet, as well as profit and loss accounts were approved by the assembly for the year ending December 31, 2025.

Furthermore, the Board of Directors and auditors of the company were discharged from liability for the financial year ending December 31, 2025, while auditors for the next fiscal year were appointed and their remuneration fixed. The assembly also elected the board of directors for the next three years.

Financial and Operational Performance 2025:

Air Arabia posted a record pre-tax net profit of AED 1.8 billion for the full year ended December 31, 2025, reflecting a 14% increase compared to AED 1.6 billion in 2024. Total turnover for the year surpassed AED 7.78 billion, marking a 15% growth from AED 6.76 billion in 2024.

During the year, Air Arabia continued to execute its growth strategy by expanding its network across its six operating hubs, adding 30 new routes. This disciplined expansion drove a 10% increase in operational capacity and a 16% rise in total passengers carried, reaching 21.8 million across the Group. Average seat load factor - the percentage of available seats occupied - improved by 4 percentage points to 85%, reflecting sustained demand strength and the efficiency of the airline’s value-driven operating model.

Air Arabia’s Board of Directors has proposed a dividend distribution of 30% of share capital, equivalent to 30 fils per share. This proposal was made during a recent board meeting and is subject to approval by Air Arabia’s shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

In the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2025, Air Arabia reported a record net profit of AED 405 million, marking a 15% increase compared to AED 351 million in the same quarter last year. Total turnover for the fourth quarter of 2025 rose 26% to AED 2.12 billion, driven by a 22% increase in passenger numbers, as the airline carried over 5.7 million passengers across all hubs during the quarter. Meanwhile, the seat load factor increased by 5% reaching a strong 87%, reflecting sustained demand for Air Arabia’s services.

·       In 2025, nine Airbus A320 family aircraft were added to the fleet, including five brand-new A320neo delivered under the company’s 120-aircraft Airbus order, and four long-term leased A320ceo supporting network expansion requirements.

Over 5.9 million passengers traveled across Air Arabia’s hubs during the quarter, an increase of 16 percent, with the average seat load factor - the percentage of available seats occupied - rising by 4 points to 85 percent, highlighting the airline’s ability to sustain efficiency, growth, and value within its low-cost model.

In July, a consortium led by Air Arabia, Nesma Group, and KUN has been selected by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation’s (GACA) to establish and operate a new national low-cost airline, which will be based at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

Sustainability:

During the third quarter of 2025, Air Arabia maintained its MSCI ESG “AA” rating, ranking among the global “Leader” category of airlines. As part of its sustainability roadmap, the airline completed a materiality assessment involving over 400 stakeholders, identifying 12 key sustainability priorities. The airline also welcomed its first Airbus A320neo, part of its 120-aircraft order, delivering up to 20% lower fuel burn and CO₂ emissions. The brand-new A320neo joins Air Arabia’s current fleet of 83 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, marking the start of delivery of its 120 aircraft. The order, which consists of 73 A320neo, 27 A321neo and 20 A321XLR aircraft, underscores Air Arabia’s long-term growth strategy to expand its network, enhance environmentally responsible operations while strengthening its presence across key markets.

The aircraft will enter service on October 1^st, 2025 with its first commercial flight between Sharjah and Bangkok.

This delivery is part of Air Arabia’s second direct order with Airbus, following the airline’s previous fleet expansion in 2007 with 49 A320 aircraft. The new aircraft order will support fleet strength across the group’s multi-hub operations, including Sharjah, Abu Dhbai, Ras Al Khaimah, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan (Fly Jinnah), complementing the airline’s existing leased aircraft and ensuring efficient operations across its growing route network. Additional aircraft deliveries are expected by the end of this year, supporting the airline’s fleet growth.

Powered by CFM LEAP-1A engines and equipped with Airbus’s signature Sharklets, the brand-new A320neo is expected to deliver a 20% reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions. These specifications directly support Air Arabia’s broader sustainability agenda and long-term growth strategy, reflecting the airline’s commitment to minimizing its environmental footprint while continuing to deliver exceptional operational performance and value-driven air travel.

Consistent with Air Arabia’s existing fleet, the new A320neo is configured with a single-class cabin layout featuring 174 seats, offering one of the most generous seat pitch in the economy cabin, ensuring passenger comfort. With a range of up to six hours, the aircraft not only enhances the travel experience but also provides Air Arabia with greater flexibility for further reach. Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 415 million during the second quarter ending June 30, 2025; 3 percent lower than the AED 427 million recorded in the same period in 2024. The airline achieved a turnover of AED 1.69 billion, marking a 2 percent increase compared to the second quarter of last year. Between April and June 2024, over 5.1 million passengers traveled with Air Arabia Group across its operating hubs, reflecting a 15 per cent increase from the 4.5 million passengers carried in the same quarter of the previous year. The airline’s average seat load factor - representing the percentage of available seats occupied - rose by 6 percent, reaching an impressive 85 percent during the second quarter of 2025.

Second Quarter 2025 Performance:

Commenting on the results, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Air Arabia, said: “The strong performance recorded during the second quarter of this year reflects the resilience of our business model and the effective execution of our growth strategy. Despite escalating geopolitical tensions and regional conflict witnessed during this period, which disrupted operations and led to flight cancellations, we responded to these exceptional circumstances with agility and efficiency. We continued to invest in expanding operational capacity across all hubs, achieving a record seat load factor driven by strong and sustained demand for air travel.”

In the first half of 2025 (January to June), Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 770 million, reflecting an 11 percent increase from the AED 693 million recorded in the first half of 2024. In the same period, the airline achieved a turnover of AED 3.44 billion, marking an 8 percent increase compared to the AED 3.19 billion registered in the first half of last year. During this period, over 10.1 million passengers traveled with Air Arabia across its hubs, representing 13 percent growth. The airline’s average seat load factor in the first half of 2025 rose to 84 percent.

Al Thani continued: “In the first half of the year, Air Arabia launched new routes, increased flight frequencies in key markets, and added aircraft to the fleet, enhancing our network, capacity, and customer offering. This growth came despite ongoing industry challenges such as political instability in some markets, fuel price volatility, currency fluctuations, and supply chain constraints. Our ability to expand in such conditions reflects the strength of our business model and the capability of our management team.”

He concluded: “As we look ahead to the remainder of 2025, our focus remains on expanding connectivity, serving new markets, and further enhancing operational efficiency and innovation. During the first half of the year, Air Arabia added 2 aircraft to its modern fleet bringing it to a total of 83 owned and leased Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. An additional 120 new aircraft on order with Airbus are expected to begin delivery by the end of 2025. In the first half, the carrier has expanded its network by launching 13 new routes across its operating hubs in the UAE, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan. The airline now operates non-stop flights between Zayed International Airport and Baku’s Heydar Aliyev International Airport with a frequency of six weekly flights. The new schedule now includes flights every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, providing more flexibility for travelers exploring the vibrant city.

Starting August 7th, flights to Tbilisi International Airport will also increase to eight weekly flights, with double daily service on Thursdays, further enhancing seamless connectivity between Abu Dhabi and the Georgian capital.
